Warm Bodies Review

This is almost that rare movie that feels like it was made for fun given how both inspired yet simple the premise is. That’s not to say it looked easy to make, but it’s at least aware of how most generations are essentially desensitized to the idea of zombies since Romero’s take on them. We’re so accustomed to expecting the worst from them that a film like this, which portrays them in a less grim light, was at least a breath of fresh air by adding Romeo and Juliet to the mix for the most part. Plus it’s not afraid to cater as much to people who have been into them since the 70s/80s as it is to those who grew up when the word “hipster” was being thrown around. It’s overall a fun journey for anyone who wanted to see something new yet enjoyable from this subgenera in this day and age.
