Under the Skin
 Review

The idea that this is a horror film is always up for debate. It’s technically no more a horror film than Ex Machina is (even though the latter’s ending is more shocking). The best way I can describe this is another film (akin to Eraserhead, Men, or Begotten) that serves as more a surreal metaphor/parable. The difference being Under The Skin is equal parts of many 80s films with a less optimistic twist, from Elephant Man to Starman (which, in itself comes off as more concrete than figurative). It’s nevertheless a good film which is proof on how, given Mr. Glazer’s track record, ideas like these come by once a decade.
