Tucker and Dale vs. Evil Review

I keep forgetting that, next to Beyond the Black Rainbow, this movie in particular most likely paved the way for Hobo with a shotgun in terms of how brutally impressive Canadian movie could be. At its surface it feels like pretty much a parody of Deliverance. But it also gives you Final Destination meets Evil Dead vibes in terms of how wildly inventive and inspired the idea is as a whole. Much like the Cabin in the woods it doesn't limit itself to one genre but rather uses it as a repository for another. What’s best is that as the film progresses the characters are even developed in a way that we’re given a nifty little twist by the end.
