Quitting Horror Movie Reviews (here)
Hello again, world.
I am sorry to inform you the bad news from the simple title, but I will indeed cease to write horror movie reviews here.
As much as I would love to give my usual essay I will try to keep it as mature as possible. Despite my wishes to enjoy writing about a genre I've been fairly into, I could not deny that, as times change agressively, just as I would find fellow enthusiasts, I would also find iconoclasts.
Basically I have been a sort of Pierce Morgan of horror movie tastes to some in recent months. Rest assured this has not exactly bothered me by much.
Not even when these same iconoclasts have gone to extremes that, without getting into details, have involved radical ableism.
However, when what should sound like light encouragement is but a guise for seemingly passive agressive (if not straight up condescending) virtue snobbery, from "The Mighty", that's when I felt as though I was overstaying my welcome.
But rest assured: not only will I not quit writing these reviews entirely, I have also saved most of these (as 10% of them haven't quite aged well anyway) once I find a proper alternative.
With that said my account will be deleted in about 24 hours to give everyone time.
So overall thank you to everyone who has shared in my interest these past 3 years and 8 months. I do intend on watching so many more horror movies that I have yet to review properly.
