I'm not sure how to judge this movie. The way it handles the premise and adapts it into horror is impressive and almost passionately done. Of course the CG's unrealism can get in the way, but the fact they designed the eponymous creature in a manner unlike what we're accustomed to envision from the sole name makes up for that. Along with the fact the horror scenes nearly rival Frankenfish's for how old school they are. It's still very much a SyFy movie, but the production values and lore are better thought out than usual.

Also I need to start actually watching horror movies again, I'm running out of ones by memory.
