Midnight Vampire (2024) Review
It's insane how this short harkened back to the days when we got stop mo animations like Sandman or Vincent yet at the same time doesn't. If anything it reminded me of a mix between 60s Pasolini and Lee Hardcastle, if not In a Violent Nature (considering how I have yet to see the latter), whom are fairly modern themselves. Of course its this obvious restraint in music that helps its optimistic nature as it teeters with the more violent scenes. Making stop motion animation will always be 10x trickier than it looks. But the results will nevertheless pay off when done right.
