My horror movie reviews

Frankenstein (1910) Review

It’s not the shabbiest for a 12 minute Frankenstein adaptation. The music was atmospheric, and I’m pretty sure Frankenstein’s transformation was a precursor to body horror. The only things that may have annoyed me are, for example, the design of the monster, which looked more like a hybrid of the monster we’re all familiar with and Igor. That and the fact that, while effective when it manages to be, the tinting with color to emanate mood does somewhat seem ineffective, if not unsuccessfully out of place, sometimes. Other than that it’s a pretty good theatrical film with all right visuals and stellar production values.
