Frankenfish Review

Remember how deplorable Gordy's scene was in Nope? Sure, the scene was spine-tingling and sick (in both good and bad ways, at least by horror movie standards) but the CG was so bad it kind of ruined the immersion, didn't it? Replace Gordy with a fish the size of a Buick and you've got this movie in most of a nutshell. Yes, this movie is at least ten times more violent than Nope's aforementioned scene, but technology has advanced so far nowadays that someone in High School can probably do it if they had access to it if not better. Of course some of the effects in Frankenfish had more realism to them (even though Nope had an 80s cubist atmosphere charm) and the former's horror scenes could've been worse. But when even the name doesn't want to be taken seriously then you're better off looking up what happened in Crofton in 2002 concerning the Snakehead fish, which this movie was based on.
