Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 4 Review

Despite not being the best movie in the franchise there's a scene in the 2010 Elm Street movie where sleep deprivation causes a character to essentially sleepwalk into the nightmare world. When you've made it this far enough into the series, and are atuned to the darkness until anything else is humorous by now, that's this episode essentially. Of course most of the horror comes from that surreal non-sequitur dread rather than anything (too) scary. Meaning it gets more disturbing by choosing to deconstruct whatever decade (most likely the 80/90s technological revolution) it was aiming to emenate atmosphere from than the more graphic visuals from previous episodes. I mean it starts with the three main characters being thrust into that same technological chaos of the internet, instead of learning about the world the old fashioned way, before all judgement day breaks loose.

And then it end on an absurdly abstract note.
