Daybreakers Review
I think this is one of the movies I wanted to mention in my What we do in the Shadows Review when it came to idea and execution. I found the concept interesting yet borderline niche alone, but the execution made it all the more worthwhile. Plus this even being a vampire movie contributed to my point on the former review. I guess it was because, considering certain traits it shares with this idea as well, Daybreakers was mostly a vampire take on Warm Bodies which had yet to evolve (seeing as ideas like these can have however much potential you want them to given the bar Miss Meyer set). Yeah, it gets a little dark at times, yet for each one bad risk it takes it makes up for it with two more good ones.
