My horror movie reviews

Christine
 Review

Do you remember how long the Order of the Phoenix was compared to the movie? This is equally the case with Christine. Granted, Stephen King may have been one of the few successors, if not pioneers, of allegorical horror (next to Carpenter, Del Toro, and Romero) as this is almost akin to Mr. King’s work trying to cash-in on the revisionist rebel without a cause trend of the 80s (with films like The Outsiders, the works of John Hughes, etc.). At its best this is essentially a horror-tragedy about an outcast who was corrupted by something which made him feel free and strong again. It’s pretty much as silly as it sounds until you read the novel if the movie’s same 80s shortcomings don’t convince you.
