Army of Darkness Review
Yeah, I never made that big of a deal over this movie. It's not that I didn't like it as it's the only Evil Dead film I've legitimately held interest over enough to watch. Yet compared to Mr. Raimi's other films the same decade such as The Quick and the Dead and Darkman this felt more like a fun sendoff to what he started out with in the 80s. Plus the fact I had also seen Drag me to Hell, along with every other movie he's ever made since Spiderman, never really gave me cause to be drawn into it. Then again given how outlandish the premise for Army of Darkness is compared to the previous Evil Deads I almost feel as though Mr. Raimi knew they were going to start to feel dated anyway and at least made this one intentionally outré.
