Alligator Review
It's hard to call this horror as there really isn't that much in it. There are violent images, but they're so lazily assembled that they lose their shock factor quickly. The animatronics could be worse, though they still aim fairly low (especially now that the present has as far as a captured live image of the real deal) as well. I want to say this may be a rare case of a generic 80s movie just being generic, yet it still plays it straight enough. Granted I'm sure a ton of better horror movies about even gharials have been made by now, but this one gets credit for aiming the highest during the very start of the decade of its release.
